なりすましアカウント削除の連絡

ようやく、去る1月16日に、twitter　serviceより、私の名前と写真と用いた悪質ななりすましアカウントを削除したという連絡を受けました。

この間の経緯は、特に個人のなりすまし事案についてきちんと最後まで報告されたものは少ないようなので、これからもこういう悪質な行為は後を絶たないであろうことを考えると、広く皆様に共有していただく値打ちがあるかと思います。

既に本ブログでも述べたように、私のなりすましアカウントが現れ、あちこちに誹謗的な言辞をまき散らしはじめたのは昨年12月29日です。私は直ちに本ブログで警告を発し、なお脊髄反射する人が絶えないのを見て警告を繰り返しましたが、

このエントリへのコメントで、ikeさんが、

なりすましは規約違反だそうですからアカウントを削除するよう要請できるかもしれません。

と教えていただいたので、年が明けて1月7日になってtwitter service　に要請しました。このように初動が若干遅れたのは私の側の準備不足の故ですが、ここまでは

に述べたとおりですが、実はこのあとまだ問題があったのです。

要請後、twitterからこのようなメールが来ます。

Hello,

This email is to confirm that we have received your report regarding an account impersonating you on the Twitter platform. In order to process your report, we first must confirm your identity.

To confirm your identity, fax a copy of your valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport) to Twitter at 415-222-9958. Please write “Attention: User Safety, Twitter Inc.” at the top and include your ticket number (#).

Once we have received your fax, we will review and process your report. We will not process your report until we receive your faxed ID.

つまり、免許証かパスポートの写しをアメリカまでFAXしろ、と。

何？と一瞬思いましたが、その後ろに

• If a fax machine is unavailable, you can send a fax from your computer for free through third-party services such as FaxZero (http://faxzero.com/), Popfax (http://www.popfax.com/), or efax (http://www.efax.com/). Please do not reply to this email with a copy of your ID.

とあったので、これは便利だ、と、このFaxZeroで送ってしまったのです。いや、それでどこが悪かったのは未だによく分からない。なぜなら、その後、このFaxZeroから、確かにおまえのFAXをtwitterに送ったよ、というメールを貰っているからです。

Your fax included 1 page of coversheet with your text and 1 page of attached documents.

The fax was sent from 1-800-980-6858.

ところが、それで事態が進んでいると思っていたら・・・1月13日になって、twitterからこんなメールが届きました。

You have a pending impersonation report and it's been awhile since we've heard from you. This is a friendly reminder, that in order to move forward with your impersonation report, we need to confirm your identity.

To confirm your identity, please fax the identification information outlined in our previous email. For security reasons, we are only able to accept this information via fax; our systems strip incoming email attachments. We understand that this can be inconvenient; please note that this policy is in place to prevent against false and/or unauthorized reports. Rest assured that this faxed information will be shredded as soon as it has been used to confirm your report. Additionally, we will be able to bypass this step for any future reports.

Please fax the information to Twitter at 415-222-9958. Include your ticket number (#) and write “Attention: Twitter User Safety.” This is a United States number, so be sure to include the appropriate international dialing code if you're sending from outside the United States.

Your ticket will be closed, however, you can reopen it by sending in the requested identification or by responding to this email.

おいおい、ちゃんとＦＡＸしたはずじゃないか・・・と思いましたが、こう言われては仕方がなく、ＦａｘＺｅｒｏで送ったはずだがというメールを返すとともに、もういっぺん今度は物理的なＦＡＸ機で送りました。日本からアメリカへは。コンビニのＦＡＸ機では1通100円になります。

そしてようやく1月16日になって、

Hello,

Thank you for providing this information. We have removed the reported profile from circulation due to violation of the Twitter Rules (https://twitter.com/rules) regarding impersonation. Your faxed ID has been shredded.

と、なりすましアカウントを駆除した旨の報告があったというわけです。

こうして、結果的にかなりの時間がかかってしまいました。これは、今後似たようななりすましに悩まされる方々へのご参考になるのではないかと思います。

そして、改めて思うのは、なりすましを駆除するのにこれだけ手間がかかり、時間がかかるということを考えると、それこそ楠正憲さんがつぶやいておられたように、短期決戦型の選挙でネット選挙活動がうかつに解禁されると、候補者のなりすましアカウントによるとんでもない言動で炎上してしまうと、事態が沈静化する前に大勢が決してしまいかねないという、おそろしい危険性があることが分かります。

(閑話休題)

侍戦隊シンケンジャーに出てくる外道衆に「ナリスマシ」というのがいるそうです（右の写真）。

説明によると、

向かい合った二人の顔のような、二つの瓜のような、アヤカシである。
自分の顔は持たないくせに、他人の顔や姿形を完璧に真似て、誰にでも変身することができるという。その能力で様々な人間にまんまとなりすまし、周囲を混乱させては、その様子を陰で見て高笑いしながら楽しむ悪党である。武器の瓜実複相刀は瓜二つの2本の刀で、必殺暗黒斬りが巻き起こす爆発にも注意すべし。
現代の伝承で『のっぺらぼう』という妖怪がいるとされている。のっぺらぼうは、目鼻や口、何もないつるんとした顔の化け物らしい。おそらくは、ナリスマシが本当の顔を持たないことが、『のっぺらぼう』伝承のルーツであろう。

ネット上のなりすまし外道にもそのまま使える説明になっているところがなんとも・・・。
